Under-19’s defeat Aris 2-1
PAOK’s U-19 team continued their winning form with another three-point victory, beating Aris 2-1 in their Matchday 13 Super League clash, which took place on Saturday afternoon in Souroti.
PAOK lead the league standings with 26 points from 10 games. They now focus their attention on the Youth League match against Legia Warsaw, which will be held at the Toumba on Tuesday, December 9 (17:30) with PAOK’s young charges are chasing qualification to the Round of 32 of the competition.
Against Aris, the Double-headed Eagle took the lead in the 35th minute with a penalty that was won and converted by Tsiotas, and in the second half of added time they found a second goal via Papadimitriou, who converted an assist from Krommydas.
In the 50th minute Aris was left with ten men after having a player sent off, and in the 72nd minute they won a penalty (Toursounidis was also sent off for PAOK for collecting a second yellow), with which they reduced the deficit to 2-1, despite the initial save by Beleris.
The next league match is against AEL on 13.12 or 14.12.
