PAOK B beat Kabaniakos 4-1 [with pictures]

PAOK B chalked up a third consecutive victory, which puts them in a strong position ahead of the Super League 2 Play-Outs. They defeated Kabaniakos 4-1 at the Toumba Stadium, moving on to 24 points, therefore entering the demanding post-season championship with 12 points.

Following today’s last match of the regular season, a draw will follow, with the Play-Out matches starting on 15.02.

PAOK B started the match well and took the lead after just eight minutes with Balde’s header after Mustma’s cross from the left. Before adding the second goal, they had already recorded several good chances (in the 28th and 29th minutes via Gitersos), which did not find the net, however. The 2-0 finally arrived on 37 minutes with Mustma starting the move and Almasidis making a brilliant through-ball to Polykratis, who easily found the back of the net with a clinical finish.

In the second half, the tempo dropped, although PAOK B were not particularly threatened. And the hosts also managed to score two more goals. In the 71st minute, Berdos , with a great piece of play down the left, cross to Polykratis, who made it 3-0 with a powerful shot, and in the 84th minute, Tsopouroglou scored from the penalty spot after he had won the penalty after an excellent pass from Balde had put Tsopouroglou through. Kabaniakos reduced the deficit to three goals in the second minute of injury time with a goal scored by Papakonstantinou.
