New month, same goals
As much as defeats shouldn’t bring talk of catastrophe, similarly when the team is winning PAOK remain focused on their goals, which is to build a very strong team with a present and a future through a very specific, productive process.
Against Panetolikos, PAOK showed that they team can overcome any setback and produce a creative reaction on the field. The conclusions have already been made, and the Double-headed Eagle continues to be focused on improving.
The next test is a a second-leg, Greek Cup tie against Larissa. The advantage garnered from the first match does not play any role in the club’s planning, and the coaching team are aiming to show a further improved competitive image on the pitch. February kicked off with the well-established routine of Covid-19 tests in Nea Mesimvria on Monday (01.02) morning in view of the upcoming match at Larissa.
Then players who played in the game against Panetolikos executed a recovery and rehabilitation program in the pool, gym and with the physiotherapy team. The rest of the group went out on the practice pitches for a high-intensity training that included work mainly in the areas of possession and passing.
Rahman Baba and Vladimir Bradonjić both trained individually and are expected to join the rest of the group on Tuesday (02.02) for the first time. In the treatment room PAOK have only one player in Enea Mihaj, and he went out onto the practice pitches for the first time to run, while Omar El Kaddouri, in addition to his normal schedule, also received some treatment due to a blow he received in the game against Panetolikos.
On Tuesday (02.02) PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria and will then depart for Larissa by coach in the afternoon.
