The end of the season is approaching, and amid the many dificult assignments ahead, PAOK is searching for some stability for the team to put a string of positive results together and achieve the goals the club has set itself.

The win over ΑΕΚ, and especially the manner in which it was achieved, has given the PAOK camp a psychological boost, and now the Double-headed Eagle are called upon to get a positive result in Tripolis against Asteras, a team which are also battling for a place in Europe.

The situation with the league standings in the Play Offs is delicately balanced after recent results, even more so given the fact that Greece will only have four European places up for grabs in UEFA competitions. PAOK need a win to close in on second spot and reduce some of the anxiety ahead of the rest of the upcoming games.

The team’s final training session before the match in Arcadia took place on Saturday morning (10.04) at the Toumba Stadium. The program included warm-ups, activation exercises, rondo and games within limited spaces, while the finale saw the players work on some tactical details and finishing practice.

Fernando Varela felt some disomfort in his back nad withdrew from the training mid-session, while Leftheris Lyratzis is also struggling with a knock he took on his ankle. Both players are out of contention for the upcoming match, as is Adrian Pereira, who received some treatment and did some physio work, while Enea Mihaj had a a light recovery session and is closing in on a return to full training.

The following squad was selected for the trip to Tripoli:

Zivkovic, Paschalakis, Vieirinha , Rodrigo, Ingason, Crespo, Michailidis, Baba , Tsingaras, El Kadouri, Schwab , Douglas, Kagawa, Warda, Konstantelias , Murg, Lamprou, Α.Zivkovic, Tzolis, Swiderski, Krmencik.
