International call-ups and fixtures
The 2025-26 season is officially underway also now for national teams, with some great games ahead for the World Cup qualifiers. Tomasz Kedziora returns to the Polish national team fold, increasing the… “black and white” interest for the September matches.
The start of the season for our internationals is here as Greece enters the battle for qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Head coach Ivan Jovanovic called up Giannis Konstantelias and Dimitris Pelkas for the home games against Belarus (05.09, 21:45) and Denmark (08.09, 21:45), which will be held at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
Andrija Zivkovic has been called up for Serbia for the away game against Latvia (06.09) and the home game against England (09.09) for the World Cup qualifiers. Kiril Despodov is of course also part of Bulgaria’s squad for the home match against Spain (04.09) and the away match with Georgia (07.09), also for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Tomasz Kedziora returns for Poland for the away match with the Netherlands for the World Cup qualifiers on 04.09, and for the home match with Finland on 07.09.
Luka Gugesashvili also has obligations with the Georgian national team for the World Cup qualifiers. The Georgians host Turkey on 04.09 and Bulgaria on 07.09.
It’s also the start of the qualifiers for the EURO 2027 Under-21 team, and Greece have called upon Dimitris Hatsidis for the away match against Malta, on 09.09. In their group, the Greeks will meet Germany, Georgia, Northern Ireland, Latvia and Malta.
A total of nine PAOK players are part of the U-19 squad for two international friendlies, against Georgia in Tbilisi, on 07.09 and 09.09. Those involved are Stathis Beleri, Dimitris Bataoula, Giorgos Kosidis, Eddie Dunga, Pavlos Tsiotas, Vassilis Eleftheriadis, Thanasis Papanikopoulos, Giannis Tsifoutis, and Anestis Mythou .
Max Scznaucner has also been called up to the Polish U-20 squad for a friendly match against Portugal which will take place in Poland on 09.09.
