Under-19's draw with ΑΕΚ
The Under-19 side suffered a first loss of points after their Matchday 7 Super League match ended in a 3-3 draw with AEK in Athens. PAOK remain at the top, of course, with 16 points, with Aris one point behind in second place.
In a 20-minute period, AEK found themselves leading 3-0, stunning PAOK, who seemed totally disorganized. However, the visitors gradually found their way and the strength to react, eventually equalizing and leaving Athens with a point.
The home team scored in the third, 11th and 19th minutes. PAOK reduced the deficit in the 41st minute with a shot by Tsiotas, after an assist by Toursounidis, and in the 80th minute with a header by Dunga, after a cross by Areti. The final 3-3 scoreline was defined in the 90th minute by Toursounidis who scored with a placed effort with following an assist from Stylos.
PAOK may have won the game but they had another goal disallowed for offside…
In the five minutes of injury time, PAOK fought hard to make a complete turnaround, but ultimately they left Athens with a point and are already preparing for the long trip to Iceland. The game with Akureyri for Round 2 of the UEFA Youth League will be held on 22.10.
