«Let’s correct our errors»
After the goalless encounter against Xanthi, Giorgos Tzavellas collected the Vodafone MVP award and spoke to media representatives in Toumba Stadium.
On his award and the final result:
”As far as I am concerned, awards shouldn’t exist when there is no victory. I am upset for these two points dropped. That has happened again and it needs to stop. We are making a serious effort and it’s too bad. We faced a rival who didn’t come here to play football and executed their plan faithfully. It’s a bad day for PAOK”.
On the team’s performance:
”We tried to dominate and were successful for the biggest part of the game”.
On the team’s nervousness in the second half:
”There is nervousness when things don’t go as planned. We were stressed and we need to correct that”.
On their finishing problems:
”We have been working on our finishing in all training sessions. When we miss from the six-yard box, it’s our problem. We need to change that, because there is no luxury to say ‘it’s OK, let’s focus on the next game’”.
On Xanthi’s game:
”Most teams will come here to play like Xanthi did. We need to find the way to solve such games”.
