Hungarian referee Tamás Bognar has been assigned the UEFA Europa League matchday 2 encounter between FC Slovan Liberec and PAOK in the Czech Republic.

Born on 18 November 1978 in Sárvár, Hungary, Tamás Bognar made his refereeing debut in 2006 and, three years later, he earned his FIFA badge. He was promoted to the 2nd tier of UEFA referees in 2010.

He officiated his first UEFA Europa League group stage matches last season. In previous years he was assigned youth national teams’ encounters and qualifying games of European competitions.

The 38-year-old will be accompanied by countrymen Zsolt Varga and Balázs Buzás, with Zsolt Attila Szpisjak acting as fourth official. Peter Solymosi and Ádám Farkas complete the team as additional assistant referees.
