Return to action with some unforeseen situations
Monday’s training session of PAOK was a mixture of happy and not so happy events…
After their two-day break, the players of the “Double-Headed Eagle” returned to training. The World-Cup-bound Marin Leovac is suffering from a knee knock and did physiotherapy out of precaution. Dimitris Pelkas remained home due to gastroenteritis. Both are expected to be at Răzvan Lucescu’s disposal come Tuesday.
José Alberto Cañas had to retire from the session due to a strain. His condition will be evaluated on Tuesday. On the other hand though, Maurício’s condition has improved considerably. The Brazilian midfielder followed an intense personalized session without complaining of pains. On Tuesday he will gradually reintegrate to normal training.
Giannis Mystakidis is also on the final stretch of his recovery. He followed most part of the session and participated in the training game as wild card. In upcoming days, the Greek attacking midfielder will go through sessions of alternate intensity for optimum form. As for Dorian Lévêque , he followed a special physical condition program.
Monday’s training session consisted mainly of passing drills. Aleksandar Prijović , Fernando Varela , Róbert Mak, Efthymis Koulouris, Panagiotis Deligiannidis, Dimitris Limnios and Marios Siampanis , all on international duty, were absent. Tuesday’s training session is scheduled to start at 17:00 in Nea Mesimvria installations.
