The MVP gets his award
Upon his return to Thessaloniki last summer, he was perfectly clear: “I came to win titles with PAOK”. He proved it every time he would step on the pitch sporting the black-and-white shirt. In the Greek Cup final, Adelino Vieirinha put on arguably his best performance of the season and deservedly was voted MVP of the encounter.
He won all his duels, ran more than anyone, outplayed his opponents throughout the encounter and led the way towards the Greek Cup triumph with an expert direct free-kick. When his body let him down, he retired to the bench but couldn’t bear to watch the last minutes. He wanted the trophy so badly and, after the final whistle, he celebrated like crazy. He deserved it!
PAOK TV recorded him as he collected his awards and received congratulations by his team-mates, Giorgis Savvidis and the head coach of AEK Athens, Manolo Jiménez and then compiled an exclusive video.
