Mauricio returns for the trip to Athens
After a six-month absence due to injury, Jose Mauricio has been selected for the squad that will travel to Athens to face AEK for the big derby match at the OAKA on Matchday 5 of the Super League.
The team’s completed its preparations for the away match against AEK on Saturday morning (28.09) at the Toumba, with the training session focused on simulating match play, set-piece and finishing drills, as well as some open play right at the end.
Jose Mauricio trained fully and will travel with the squad to Athens, while Andre Vierinha also completed a big part of the session. Dimitris Pelkas continued to receive treatment for his injury and did some running work, while Pontus Wernbloom remained in the gym.
Abel Ferreira, who is without the suspended Leo Matos, has selected the following squad for the match against AEK at the OAKA:
