Under-17’s defeat Aris 2-0
The Under-17 side maintained their 100 percent Super League record with another victory. In a Matchday 5 contest against Aris, PAOK ran out 2-0 winners at the Neon Epivaton stadium, and as a result extended their lead at the top of the table to five points. PAOK are first win 15 points, while second-placed Aris have 10 points.
PAOK produced a dominant first-half display, scoring twice and creating several other opportunities. After 16 minutes Karakoutis took advantage of Babouras’ pass to make it 1-0 and in the 35th minute Koutentakis ended the game as a contest by making it 2-0 after another assist from Babouras.
The second half ended with PAOK bossing the game at a much slower pace, but also seeking another goal with every forward thrust. Aris failed to trouble the PAOK defense as the youngsters held firm comfortably to pick up their fifth win in as many games.
The payers an coaching staff dedicated the victory to the memory of the six PAOK fans who lost their lives in the tragic road accident at Tembi 20 years ago.
