Focus on fitness
Just like the international break back in September, this time round Abel Ferreira and his players are again taking full advantage of the downtime. The first few days have been devoted to fitness, while next week there players will be put through their paces with some tactical work ahead of the Super League restart.
Friday’s (11.10) training session was all about fitness and conditioning exercises both with and without the ball. First some running and hurdling, followed by some possession games, and finishing off with a friendly match.
Dimitris Pelkas remained in the gym due to a foot injury and performed a high-intensity workout, while Diego Biseswar completed the full training session. Lazaros Lamprou sat out the last part of the session due to a minor knock, and Fernando Varela continued his treatment following his knee injury.
Players and coaching staff have this weekend off and will to return on Monday (14.10) at 17:00 for training at the Toumba stadium.
