Vierinha back for Lamia match
Final preparations for the match against Lamia were concluded on Saturday (19.10) at the training session held at the Toumba. And, after six months on the sidelines, captain Adelinho Vierinha is finally back in the squad.
Saturday’s (19.10) training session at the Toumba stadium included work on tactics, and emphasis on set-pieces, while there was also a friendly match to wrap things up.
And the excellent news is that Adelino Vierinha is back. The club’s captain is back in the first team squad for the first time since last April when he feautred in the match against Larissa. Jose Mauricio is ruled out due to a minor thigh injury, while Anderson Esiti’s MRI scan on a groin injury came back clear. The player had a day off on Saturday to rest and is included in Abel Ferreira’s squad.
Fernando Varela, Omar El Kaddouri, and Pontus Wernbloom stayed in the gym for individual training and recovery treatments.
After training, PAOK’s Portuguese coach announced the squad for the match against Lamia, and the 20 players selected are as follows:
