Review of the New Media Workshop by PAOK and IEK DELTA 360

How was the case study that is PAOK’s digital communication set up? What was the strategy, objectives and the means of implementation? What implications does it have for how we watch football, and how has it influenced the way people see the team?

As part of the experience, the IEK DELTA 360 students had the opportunity to visit the Toumba stadium, and to learn about the story behind the development and logic of PAOK’s New Media strategy, from PAOK New Media Director, Panagiotis Aroniadis, Creative Director Dimitris Papazoglou, and director – photographer Kostas Amiridis.

The workshop lasted three days. The first was dedicated to journalism, sports journalism and content management students. The second day was for photographers, cameramen, fashion designers and filmmakers, and on the final day it was a session for graphic designers and 3D animators.

Students discussed with PAOK’s key stakeholders about all the techniques and new trends in the digital world, and went away with the task of setting up their own project from scratch. The work they produce will be evaluated, with the best project published via PAOK’s social media networks.
