Under-17’s defeat PAS Giannina 3-1
PAOK’s Under-17 side chalked up another victory to maintain their position at the top of the Super League in their final game of 2019. Papavasileiou and Taxidis’ team defeated PAS Giannina 3-1 at Souroti and lead the standings in Group B with 36 points.
Even though the match did not start so well with PAOK falling a goal behind after just four minutes, the home side responded brilliantly and drew level in the 25th minute thanks to Spiridopoulos who converted Rumanchev’s assist. PAOK then took the game by the scruff of the neck and did not allow PAS to react, taking a 2-1 lead after 36 minutes when Babouras played in Smyrlis. Then, on 54 minutes the comeback was rounded off with a third goal to make it 3-1 from Babouras, who benefited from Sinani’s assist.
