Tests and tactics
The PAOK camp’s preparations for the upcoming “final” against Krasnodar are entering the final stretch, with challenges still on two fronts. While the squad also has to get itself prepared physically and mentally for the Russians on footballing terms, in parallel it also has to deal with all of the special health measures put in place by UEFA.
On Monday (28.09) morning, the entire Double-headed Eagle staff gathered to submit Covid-19 tests ahead of the clash with their opponents from Russia.
And in the afternoon there was work to be done on the training pitches. Abel Ferreira and his players worked on tactics through a series of exercises.
On the personnel front, Diego Biseswar and Karol Swiderski have recovered from their minor ailments and took part in the full session and will be available for selection for the Portuguese coach on Wednsday (30.09, 22:00).
Still sidelined and out of contention is only Rodrigo, who is still training individually in the gym and out on the training pitches.
On Tuesday (29.09) PAOK will train at 10:00 in Nea Mesimvria, with the first 15 minutes opened to representatives of the media.
