Sznaucner: «We have a long way to go»
Miroslav Sznaucner shared his thoughts and insights on the upcoming Super League Interwetten Matchday 21 clash against Apollon Smyrnis to the Novasports cameras. Read what the Pole said on paokfc.gr.
On the two successive wins:
«Yes, we have won two in a row – one in the league and the other in the cup – and I think we have found our way with those last two performances. Our performances have been good; we are creating lots of chances and we are scoring goals. But that doesn’t mean anything, we have to keep going as we have a long way to go ahead of us. We can’t stop now, we have a lot of work to do ahead.»
On Kagawa and when he will be 100% ready:
«He played around 25 minutes coming off the bench and his quality was there to see, and his composure on the ball. We saw the way he spoke to the players out on the pitch and it was very positive. He is helping the other players a lot but the truth is that he is not 100% ready yet to play a full 90 minutes. He is working hard, doing more training on his fitness even after we have finished the full training sessions. Gradually game by game he will get playing time.»
On Tsingaras’ performances and his first goal for the club:
«We were very happy to see the way Haris played against Larissa. He produced a good performance in both the defence and attacking aspects, and he provides composure in the middle of the park. I think he can help us a lot. Of course he has not yet played enough games and does not have so much experience yet, but I think this can be improved by playing week in and week out. I’m very happy for Haris.»
On Douglas Augusto and whether or not he is in the coaching teams plans:
«We are talking with Douglas. I think he understands at which club he is playing at, and he is available to us. We don’t have any issues and he is in our plans for the next game.»
On the match against Apollon:
«They are a dangerous team and we need to be on our guard. We have worked on our tactics a lot concerning our opponents. But the important thing is how we will play. We must be focused because when we played them earlier in the season we had some problems with them.»
On if the club has any fresh injury problems:
«No, all of the players are fit and ready.»
On whether or not Baba Rahman will be ready:
«We are not quite sure yet. There are some things we need to work on with him, some gaps in his fitness and we do not know exactly when he will be ready.»
On the Greek Cup draw which pitted PAOK with Lamia:
«I don’t think there are any ‘easy’ opponents. Yes we may have avoided a derby clash but all of the teams at this stage of the competition want to win. Lamia want to progress to the next round and so do we. We know that we face two difficult games against them and we want to get through.»
