Christos Zafeiris joins PAOK
PAOK announces the transfer of Christos Zafeiris from Slavia Prague. The player signed a contract with the Double-headed Eagle until 31.12.2029. He will remain on loan at Slavia for the next few months, and will join our team on 02.01.2026.
Christos Zafeiris was born on February 23, 2003 in Athens. At the age of 10, he moved to Norway and matured as a footballer at the academies of Fornebu, Lillestrøm, Felmar and Valerenga.
His professional debut came in 2020 with Grorud, where in two seasons he recorded a total of 50 appearances, three goals and five assists, showing his talent early on. In August 2021, he was acquired by Haagesund, where he continued his development by recording 32 appearances, five goals and five assists.
In January 2023, he took the big leap in his career by signing for Slavia Prague. He made 105 appearances, scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists for the Czech club, celebrating a league championship win in the 2024-25 season and the Czech Cup win in the 2022-23 season before that.
At the international level, Zafeiris has played at all youth levels for Norway, while he had also worn the jersey of the Greek national Under-16s. In 2024, he made the final decision to represent Greece, making his official senior men’s debut on September 7, 2024 in a Nations League match against Finland.
