PAOK B held to goalless draw [pictures]
In a tough game, which did not have many chances but had a good pace, PAOK B weer deprived of victory by the woodwork, as Danny Ponz’s team were held to a 0-0 draw with Kabaniakos in Halastra for Matchday 9 of Super League 2.
The game started with a good pace and chances on both sides. Initially, the home team threatened in the third minute with Garyfallos not finding the target from a good position, while PAOK B responded with two shots by Ricardo and Kanis which went wide.
With 22 minutes gone, Kabaniakos had a triple chance, without finding the net, while a minute later Garyfallos threatened again, without worrying Monastirlis .
In the 35th minute, the most important moment in the first half for PAOK B arrived, with Mustma unable to beat Kasapidis in a one-on-one situation.
In the second half, Kabaniakos were the team who threatened first again, with Monastirlis making a great save from Papasterianou in the 55th minute.
There were few good moments in the second half, with both teams not taking any risks. In the 70th minute, the home team saw Kesidis miss from an advantageous position, while the best chance of the match came in injury time when Balde crossed the ball and Polykratis hit the post.
The 0-0 score remained unchanged until the end and PAOK B moved up to fifth place with 11 points. The next matchday, PAOK’s second team welcome Niki Volou to the Apollon Kalamaria Stadium.
