The day after in snowy Nea Mesimvria

After a long night, the day is always tougher. Despite the negative result against Atromitos and the turbulence it caused, PAOK continued working on the plan set out since the beginning of the season.

PAOK held their Tuesday training session as the snow was falling in Nea Mesimvria. The players split into two groups. Those who started the encounter against Atromitos did recuperation work.

Panagiotis Glykos was submitted to ultrasound control by PAOK’s medical team chief Μanolis Papakostas. The test revealed a groin strain. Glykos will also do an MRI that will determine how long he will remain sidelined and his recovery program.

Garry Rodrigues suffered a groin spasm during the first half of Monday’s encounter and was substituted off as precaution. Dimitris Pelkas complained of minor pains in the hamstring and was also taken so that his condition wouldn’t get aggravated. Both players are expected to be at the disposal of Vladan Ivić for PAOK’s upcoming matches.

José Alberto Cañas suffered a calf knock, while Facundo Pereyra returned to full training. PAOK will train in Toumba Stadium on Wednesday at 14:00 and then will travel to Trikala for their encounter against the local side, corresponding to matchday 2 of the Greek Cup group stage.
