Training in snow-covered Toumba
Toumba woke up to a blanket of snow on Saturday morning, but that didn’t stop the training session from going ahead as the stadium personnel managed to clear part of the pitch. PAOK players are prepping for the upcoming Greek Cup encounter against Panachaiki in Patras.
Players and coaching staff split in two groups and worked mainly on their physical condition in the limited area at their disposal. While one group engaged in possession games, the other played a mini 4v4 match.
Yevhen Khacheridi had an MRI that confirmed he hasn’t sustained a serious injury. The Ukrainian defender will remain in the gym on Sunday as well and is expected to start jogging on Monday. Chuba Akpom went through the warm-up routine alongside his team-mates and then did reintegration work in the gym. Konstantinos Balogiannis also remained in the gym out of precaution. Both will join normal training on Sunday. Aleksandar Prijović is on a leave of absence and wasn’t in Toumba.
Sunday’s training session is scheduled to start at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
