Preparations for the finale

A strange and demanding 2020/21 Super League Interwetten season for all of us is almost at an end. To be precise, only one match remains, and it’s this Sunday’s game against Asteras Tripolis (16.05, 19:30).

13.05.2021

While there’s nothing at stake in terms of the standings for either side, what is required – as in any game – is victory. At the same time, the coaching staff will be able to rotate the personnel and run some experiments in view of the Greek Cup final.

On Thursday (13.05) in Nea Mesimvria those who played in the game at the «Georgios Karaiskakis» stayed in the gym and the swimming pool for some recovery and rehabilitation therapy.

The rest of the squad went out onto the practice pitches for a high-intensity training program of which the main objective was to work on passing, and which included some running exercises, possession games, and an inter-squad friendly.

Shinji Kagawa completed the main part of the session, Omar El Kaddouri has a scheduled rest day, and Ingi Ingason continued his special injury management program.

On Friday (14.05), PAOK will be back in for training at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
