Vote for October’s MVP
October could be described as the month of PAOK’s “the counter-attack. After a defeat by Celta Vigo in Spain, PAOK recorded five victories and turned the situation around in all three competitions they are competing in. Victories were recorded in crucial and difficult games. Selecting the October MVP seems almost impossible, so we will need your help. Tsiftsis, Konstantelias and A. Zivkovic are the three men in the running and you will judge the final winner.
The first contender is Antonis Tsiftsis. The Greek goalkeeper was called upon to replace the injured Jiri Pavlenka at half-time in the match against Olympiacos at the Toumba and was given a starting berth for the remaining four games of the month. And he was a revelation. He exuded confidence and self-assurance, made great saves, guided the defence superbly, and was pivotal in the team’s excellent progress throughout October.
The second contender is Andrija Zivkovic . The Serb is in excellent shape and makes sure to prove it every time he steps on the pitch. In the past month, he scored three goals and contributed three assists against Lille, Olympiacos and AEK, bringing passion and intensity to the games, and being a true leader on and off the pitch.
Finally, Giannis Konstantelias could not be left out of the conversation. Mr. Breeze enjoyed another great month, scoring three goals and handing out three assists, winning two penalties and tormenting any opponent in his path, providing many moments of football magic in the month gone by.
