Petros Tsiapakidis was born in Thessaloniki. He is a graduate of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds both UEFA Pro and UEFA A coaching licenses.
He joined PAOK in the 2015–16 season, initially taking charge of the U8 team. He subsequently coached the U15, U17 and U13 teams, with the latter progressing to the U15 age group during the 2020–21 season. In the 2022–23 season, he was appointed head coach of the U19 team, leading them to two Super League Cups and an unbeaten league title in the 2025–26 campaign.
In the summer of 2026, he was promoted to PAOK’s first team as an assistant coach.
Before joining the PAOK Academy, he worked as an assistant coach for the senior team of P.O. Malakopi. He also coached within the club’s youth development system and collaborated with Platanias FC as a scouting associate for Northern Greece.
He speaks English. He is married and the father of two children.
